East Tennessee State University in Johnson City has awarded degrees to more than 72,000 people since it opened in 1911. About 40,000 ETSU alumni live within a 100-mile radius of the campus. The university offers more than 100 degree programs from bluegrass to medical degrees to around 11,500 students, who represent 42 states and 62 countries.
